I have a 99 R/T cc.Today I swapped in a digital overhead console, nice and easy but the check engine light came on when I statred it.No big deal I guess. Then next I swapped in a set of power mirrors. All the wiring was already there pluged it all in and turned the key on and had no power to the mirrors. Then while checking that I realized I had no power to anything,no starter, radio, lights, nothing. The only thing that works is the chime when the key goes in and the gauge lights.I need some help to get this running again. It seems as though I tripped some security system. There is a red LED on the bottom of the dash under the steering column but it has never done anything.I don't know of any alarm on my truck. And I don't have a service manual or owners manual for this truck.Any ideas guys?

is there a security box for that little light somewhere? do you know if its an aftermarket security system? if so and if it has a kill switch your gunna have to reset it........ more info too ?? :D

I thought of that after I posted.I traced back from the light under the dash and after following it like a piece of spaghetti wound around under everything there it ended at two small plugs not attached to anything. The had dust on the ends like they hadn't been hooked up in quite some time.
Still the only thing that works is the key chime and dash lights.

PDC - Power Distribution Center under the hood.

I have a 2000 and they're close, but not always an exact match but look just under the regular fuses, under the hood. There are things labeled as fuel pump, auto shutdown, etc. They're red/green. They are fusible links. I think you fried ignition switch, starter, #9 (in 2000).

Otherwise, where did you tap for power, the back of the junction block (interior fusebox)? Did you knock any connectors loose?

#9 is 40 amp in a 2000. It handles all the circuits you list as "no power."

How'd you tap for the outside air temp sensor? Did you run new wires under the hood or splice in? There is a big connector, white, under the dash. Most every underhood connection goes through this.

I wish I had a '99 schematic.

It makes no sense. Even if there was a short, you'd only blow one for that specific circuit.

Unless your ignition switch suddenly failed.

It won't even crank you said. That's one of the easiest systems. Two fusible links, they're like the mains, both 40 amp fed right from the battery buss, feed the ignition switch.

One is for the starter relay coil and also for the "run" position accessories. It feeds things like the backup lights, console, instrument cluster, etc.

The other handles the "accessories" like the wipers, radio, etc.

If the links are good, can you disconnect the ignition switch and check for power there? I show pink/black is one of the feeds and red is the other. At least we'll know if you're getting power that far.

Things like the headlights, etc., are not on these feeds.
