Replaced the Truck

I haven't been on the site since I got my new car about 3 weeks ago. Ended up selling my truck to my father who needed an extra truck and was looking for a 4x4. I replaced the 2001 Dodge Dakota with a 2004 MR2 Spyder.

Biggest Differences:
Truck was about 3x heavier than the 2200 lbs the MR2 weighs
The truck would get 15-16 MPG, the Spyder averages about 32 MPG right now
Truck had a 4.7L V8, the Spyder has a 1.8L I-4
The truck was a AUTO, the Spyder is a SMT (Sequential Manual Transmission)
The truck's engine was in the front, the Spyder's is in the back

The pictures don't do the color justice. I like the fact at one angle it looks blue and at another silver, depending on where the sun is hitting it.

Most people don't even know what it is... most think it's a Porsche.

One of the Techs at the local Toyota dealership has one of the mid-80s MR2s (look like sharp fieros).

I imagine driving it is kinda like riding a moped or screwing a fat chick, I'm sure its a lot of fun but you wouldn't want your buddies to catch you haha.

I'd rock one except I literally don't fit in the damned things.
(To put my size in perspective, I've never found a vehicle I can't drive comfortably with the seat slightly reclined in the furthest back position possible.)

Nice MR2 though. Gonna turbo it? How do you like the SMT?

My thoughts excatly!! Pretty girly, but its what you like not us. Just wouldn't catch me in one unless im riding passenger and some smoking hot blonde chicks is driving.:huh:

that car will hold its value whereas the dakota will just become an old fart.

the dakota isnt nicer by far i dont care what kinda kota you have unless it bone ass stock they ride horrible and suck nuts on gas as for hp you have to look at weight to power ratio and that mr2 would smoke just about any dakota on this site but in the same though i wouldnt drive a new one like that i like my truck to much as for gas mileage bring it on nice score

i guess it's all a matter of personal preference. I used to own a little sports car and for me it was more way fun to drive than my dakota.
