Ok so I went to redo the video of me burning out and the city cop caught me. They took my camera and told me that ill never get it back which I dont think they can do that. I think after court, I can get it back. Ill find out tomorrow tho. Cop asked me why i was doing it, and I said that my Dakota has to much power and he just looked at me like i was stupid. While he was in the car, I popped in a CD and played the theme song to COPS which I dont think he liked to much

What an idiot.

Next time, don't give stupid answers. Cops will toy with the cocky SOBs and be legit with the honest forward type.

My bad dude... I'ave had a few to drink tonight lol

I ment idiot as in the cop, Why he told you that you couldn't get your video recorder back is beyond me. Most courts will release it. Yours has evidence on it and if you settle it in court that day, you'll get it back if you're upfront with the judge. I'd drop the line "you know, I thought about this whole issue and getting this ticket is what it is, but in the end I'm just blowing even more money having to buy new tires now. $700 is a lot more than this $200 ticket!!

I know what you're saying on the cops thing. one night I did blast the cops song on a routine traffic stop. minor violation, great story. Inncer cirlce FTW!

Live on young buck!@

I was just having fun. He busted me like a month ago doing it. But I got an excessive noise ticket. This time it was a CNI. Im not sure if someone called me in or if he just happened to drive by and see it. This cop is a real jackass. i dont like him at all. He works for the city and county as well

No, you're definitely just an idiot.

Kids like you are the reason everyone else pays so much for insurance.
So your telling me that you have NEVER done anything like that? And what would me spinning my tires in a different state, hell even different country than you, have to do with your insurance? Nothing. Thats what.

Hey, I lvie 3 miles from mexico border on a major international bridge town. Nearly all mexican drivers who cross over (legally) don't have proper insurance.

In TX you're not required to have uninsured protection but it's a damn tood thing to have. Tehy are a huge reason for insurance premiums. We don't have any federal regulations to what kind of insurance they must carry over here.

I got T-boned in a work truck by a semi who operates moving cargo from US to MX and visa versa. Have yet to hear from their insurance comapnny, and they based out of san antonio on the US side! (company is MX based)

Im sorry, I just hate it when people sit there and tell me I am the reason for this and the reason for that. Im not the reason he has to pay high prices on his insurance. His credit score and driving records are his fault. Not mine. And its not like he has never ever ever done anything wrong behind the wheel. We all have. Hell, i was just having fun in my truck. Thats all. That had NOTHING AT ALL to do with him. I have full coverage on my truck.

Somthing doesn't sound right here. Was it in the same place as the original video with recorder in grass and was that on your property? If it was on your property you didn't have to give him shit. When you appear in court, mention that he threatened that you won't get it back, make it a point he said that and ring up the cop camera for proof(they have sound). Either way, he had no right to take the camera whatsoever and you shouldn't have given it but recorded the actions instead. He has a camera in his car for proof and doesn't need yours. I would seriously consult a lawyer on this. His ass shouldn't be a cop any longer! Yeah you did an ileagal thing and your going to get it for that. But the camra being given away or confiscated was far more of a crime. The camera wasn't vilating any laws whatsoever and not needed to be confiscated.

Consult a lawyer and get the cop out of uniform! I would. That was ileagal. Or at least get the whole thing thrown out for it.

Sounds like cop let him off easy.. No idea what you're talking about. He got a piss ticket. He could have gotten much worse ticket wise.

I wasn't talking about the ticket. The cop played dirty wrong about the camera. Unless brought up, that camera won't show up in court and it will stay in his possenion at his home. He ileagaly took it and said he wasn't getting it back~

Actually, a CNI (careless and imprudent) ticket is pretty harsh. They had every right to take my license right then and there. Im not saying I shouldnt have gotten a ticket. It just seemed weird to me that he said that I wasnt able to get the camera back.
