Ok i need to know some easy bolt ons for my dak RT to get up around 320HP. Anyone gotta list of stuff i could get to acheive this with spending around $1,000. A nice write up of parts would be great!! Also for a DD not a track truck.

I would like to atleast get up to 300HP. Stock im at 250HP so im looking for a minimum of 50HP. I wanna keep it around $1,000 no more than $1,500 ish. If i buy everything new i know i cant but im hoping to find some used stuff on here. Like headers, intake, maybe 1.7 roller rockers. Stuff like that.

300 WHP?

These trucks have 250 HP to the crank. Generally they dyno 200-210ish to the wheels I believe? Might be up to 220 (each truck is different).

So you're needing to gain 80-100whp to get what you want. Its going to take a little more than a couple simple bolt ons/$1000 for that.

i know that maybe from the factory my truck (and all R/T's) had 250 crank hp, but 13 years later you cant expect much out of it....my guess is maybe 190 at the crank, tops.
so asking for 320hp is out of the question pretty well for $1000, and for "simple" bolt ons...unless your a pro at installing boost

ummmm ok dont listen to this kid.

a good starting point would be assuming you have roughly 225WHP and thats being generous.

a good set of ported heads, a 210/220 cam, free flowing exhaust, 52mm or larger TB, and SCT will probably put you right around 300WHP.

good luck doing all of that for 1000

ok so dont listen to you either then....you just said practically the same thing i did except guesstimated the HP a bit higher than me, and gave him a list of mods that would run him way over $1000, like i said..

ok children stop fighting get a cam(ask somone else which one), 2bbl m1 intake and throttle body, and long tube headers and true dual exhaust and a sct tune is gonna be the most power your gonna get for your price range and should put you in high 200s and MAYBE low 300s crank hp

I could prolly do that for around $1,500 if i can find all that used..

Long tubes are close to $1000 by themselves for a nice set and you dont really need long tubes. Mid-length have been proven to work on a mild, bolt on setup and also flowed enough to run 10s on other setups.

Superchips is a waste.

SCT has been used on a completely stock motor, simple bolt ons, and major mods with happy results. Some have gone from Superchips to SCT (same mods between the switch) and noticed an improvement.

Superchips is the same generic tune no matter what, you go online and buy it and thats that. So whether you have a CAI and thats it or you have CAI, M1, TB, and a set of RRs.. you'll get the same tune. SCTs tune is based on your mods and if you mod more later, you can update the tune.

You dont NEED a wideband and/or datalogger to use SCT. I had it on my 408 in the grey truck, just sent him a list of mods and I recieved my tunes. Sure, I probably could have tweeked it some having a datalogger but the tune was perfectly fine and safe. N/A, he can usually get it spot on without having logs. Boost.. thats when you would need a wideband and datalogger to get things perfect.

Wow, you really don't have a clue.

Cam - 150, 329
Intake - 400, 500
Throttle Body - 250, 400
Long Tubes - 600, 1000
True Duals - 500, 800
SCT - 300

Total - Used 2200, new 3029

And the used number are about what you will pay on here if you find a good deal and get quality parts.

My advise, just get a Nitrous kit and slap it on.
