Does anyone know of an aftermarket true dual exh kit or has everyone had to go to the local muffler shop and hope you get what you wanted. I think my 3" single exh with a 50 series flowmaster is costing me some top end power since i've upgraded the powerdyne.

ah a local R/T owner! I'm in Huntsville.

My R/T has true duals, bought it that way, i don't believe it's a kit, looks like a muffler shop did it,but it's a clean looking system, doesn't look hacked to hell or some shit. Sounds pretty sweet too, no idea what mufflers, the cases look like Flow's but can't see any name or stamping on them.

If anyone's interested in a Spintech dual exhaust kit, I've got one for sale... It's the dual 2.5" kit w/cats, brand new never been installed - hoping to find someone interested in buying a new kit, will knock $100 off what you'd pay to Spintech for the same exact system.

i'd go to a muffler shop and get it done shouldnt be more than a couple hundred to have everything done way cheaper than that spintech kit
A dual exhaust system with 2x cats + 2x mufflers + 4x bungs + pipes/labor from collector to tip + 2x polished tips is not going to cost just a couple of hundred bucks. Unless you're lucky enough to have a shop nearby with a mandrel bender (which is usually more expensive), you'll also be getting crush bends.

Spintech dual exhaust kits are pricy, but they're good quality.

I've been to the local shops a few times on other toys and never get what i wanted, and if i buy an after market kit i want one with no cats. While i'm here i'd like to know some opinions about the single 3" exh being a restriction with 6 to 7 lbs of boost.

Work on a 4.7?

One of the electric cutout plate motors decided to jump ship on the way home from an errand today - I can't stand the rattling so one way or another my truck will get new headers/exhaust. If someone is willing to buy my dual 2.5" kit by this friday 6/3/11 I'll drop another $50 off the price (so $150 below what you'd pay for the same exact brand new kit). If nobody buys it by friday night, then I'll spend my weekend swapping the headers/exhaust onto my own truck just so I don't have to hear it rattle anymore.

it'd be hard to find a local muffler shop who will fab up a dual system without cats, thanks to federal emissions laws. but you could do one yourself for pretty cheap at home, if you have access to a mig welder.

spend maybe $100-150 in straight pipe and some bends, maybe another $150 for a pair of mufflers, and start cutting and welding. you could cut out and weld in your original O2 bungs to save some money, or buy some 18mm fine thread nuts and weld them to the pipe like I did. cost me $10 total to have 2 nuts and a bolt sent to me. (the bolt is for the 2nd bung...its there to run a handheld data logger, so I don't need that O2 installed all the time)

Actually you will have a hard time finding an exhaust shop doing true duals on any of our trucks. Its illegal to change the amount and location of any catalytic converter. And its BIG fines for that shop if word gets out they did it.

I'm sure that I can go with cash and go to a few places and get a true dual system installed here. I will say that any "reputable" shop will not do it. If they get caught by the EPA it's a $25,000 dollar fine.
