We left Austin last year to try out northern California... Enough said.

Moving back to Texas end of the year, hopefully back to Austin!

God damn I can't wait!

Well welcome back!!!

I moved to the area (Killeen aka Ft Hood) in 2005 with intetions of moving on to Dallas. But last year the wife made the final call that she wanted to stay where we are. I'm gone 98% of the time anyways.

I have to say I am impressed the place does not seem to have been hit by the Housing and Job BS that the rest of the country is crying about.

One thing that my wife liked is how genuinely friendly the people are.

Not much has changed!! Georgetown area is still growing!!

Where exactlly in Cali were you?

We live in Windsor which is 70 miles north of San Fransisco. Sonoma wine country and just plain beautiful!
Small town, really cool and friendly people, but it's just not us the California life.
We just miss the city life and Austin IS the only place to be. We lived there 7
years and had to leave because my wife's job, layoffs, so she took the next best thing. We make plenty of money but we miss all our friends and family so we are going to move back.
