So I let a few cars out of a parking lot, cause there was a red light ahead. I let a few cars out (1 turning left, on turning right, Since there is 2 lanes to come out of the lot)
Then I went to go a a Yellow Xtrerra pulls out and hits the Tire/rear quarter on my truck, Then she proceed to drive away as if nothing happened, I pulled a U-turn (as i was doing anywas to pull up behind her if she stopped) and fallowed her all the way to her house.
Luckly my brother was in the parking lot and seen it and fallowed me in his Jeep. I got a quote and it was under $1500, so they want to pay out of pocket. I do have there insurance info to.

They said they would pay out of pocket, since there deductible is $800 anyways.
But Im going to call them monday and see if I can get a check for the Quoted price. She said she would go to the repaid shop and pay once its done, but idk how long it will take to get in so.

Man, that's some shitty insurance! I'd tell her to suck it, you want money before it's fixed. I'll be damned if I'd take someone's word for it that they'll pay me $1000 for repair work with technically no legal obligation to do so. You fucked up by not getting the cops involved right when it happened, because if she refuses to pay, you're in for a long headache if you want money out of her.

OP, I'm sorry to say. But you're an idiot, since you didn't get insurance etc involved. She could screw you over and wouldn't have to pay you a cent. Peoples words don't mean shit anymore. Hopefully you don't fucked over.

Wow that thing is smashed...

1500? I could bang that thing out in a sec n buff that bitch, good as new. :banana2:

You're screwed.:sorry: Without a police report it never happened. Her Insurance company will laugh in your face if you try to make a claim without a police report.
Call the police now! Seriously! It may not be too late....

I have 48 Hours to report it.
Im calling her tomorrow, to either get a Check for the quoted price, or ill report it.

The only thing wrecked here is your spelling and grammar. Reading your posts here gave me a headache.

I would have been on the phone with the cops before I had that U turn completed.
cops do not respond to accidents anymore, unless someone is hurt, at least that is that way it is out here. I guess hit and run would be different.

I don't know what kind of state you're living in, but they sure as hell respond to accidents here no matter what. In today's world, the first thing they want to find out is if alcohol was involved. And I find it hard to believe that when you're reporting the accident to 911, they ask, "is anyone injured?" And take your word for it when you say no, then DON'T send cops and tell you to sort it out yourself.

That doesnt seem right, without a police report is his word against theirs, how are they suppose to deam whos fault it is?

that is exactly what happened, you think I am lying? Why would I lie about that?

well, being in Cali, it may be possible. The state is too broke to pay it's employees, maybe they just cut all the cops outta the budget too lol. But seriously, I don't see how a cop wouldn't be sent to an accident to make sure proper procedure is followed, no one is drunk, and to figure out who is liable. If they don't show, that's just ASKING for long, drawn out court cases to decide who's at fault, who was drunk/not drunk, etc. If a cop shows up, he writes a ticket to the party at fault, makes sure no one is cocked, and form there it's a pretty open and shut case.

Fixed

Sooooo..... How'd it go?
Went great paid up $1400, Quoted at $1373. But They have 2 Hours to remove my backrack+Toolbox, Which im going to remove, also Im going to remove the mudflaps (as they are gettings replaced) and im telling them not to touch up the mark on the bumper (since the whole things needs painting anyways, why touch up 2 marks)
I might also remove the taillight once I drop it off (since they are repainting the entire bedside)
