i decided to start this thread to see your street or track records
-5.9 durango vs ford raptor- neck n neck till 3rd gear then i pulled away
-5.9 durango vs 99-04 mustang- tang started to pull away till i hit 3rd then i stayed a car length behind him till we hit the speed limit, lucus won that day
-5.9 durango vs 04-08 maxima turbo- me and my friend in the maxima started up a steep hill from a dead stop and i pulled 2-3 car lengths ahead but when we got to the turn he passed me. the road was about 1/16 to 1/8mile long.
-5.9 durango vs 04-08 maxima turbo- this time we were on a dirt road and i put it in 4 wheel drive full time and we lined up, he counted down and hammered it, i had had an unfair advantage and easly out ran him,
im currently saving to bore and stroke the 360 magnum to a 408 hemi stroker

98 gt convertible. I got about a length on it, not a very long run.
08 rt charger, he got about a length on me, barely pulling away.
05 or 06 x runner pulled almost 2 lengths on the interstate on it about 40-90. If you are a stock truck you are going to lose.
03 lightning beat me like a drum, from about a 30 roll I punched it pulled maybe 1/2 length at most, then he flew by me. He said once he hit 10 psi I was gone.

These are all people I know, I dont fool with strangers.

ok lanco rider, im sorry you havent been able to use that 5.9 or be able to tell the differnce between the gas and brake, the one all the way to the right is the gas if u havnt figured it out yet. i started this tread to see race results so stfu. and to answer your question last in, i'v been talking to jhon at www.southeastperformance.com and hes helping me set up to bore and stroke my 5.9(360) to a 408 and maybe some hemi heads if he can find some. so we might be lookin at 550+ hp with high quality parts, shake n bake

small block hemi heads on a magnum motor? I don't think they exist, but I may be wrong.

to my knowledge, the 5.7L/6.1L hemi's are a totally new casting and design, and you can't simply bolt the hemi heads onto the magnum block.

I suppose the old school hemi heads say from an old 331 or 354 hemi might be compatible, but I don't think they are--I know you can bolt them onto the old 318 poly or "wide block" motors...but again, pretty sure they won't bolt onto an LA small block or Magnum small block at all.

so...you're going to build a 408 hemi stroker? how? or are you stroking a 5.7L hemi to 408? (I don't think there's a crank on the market for that though.)
