Just wanted to give an updated about the 206 cams. They have proven to me to be such great cams for my truck. My truck pulls and pulls, they produced the motor with much more torque.

I did have h/o cams prior and I was not very happy with. They did help with the low end, however the 206s just shined over them.

Other mods on my truck are

4.56 Gears
08 mani
fastman 68.5mm
Jeep TCM
y-pipe & maganflow muffler si/do w/ all 2.5" piping from y-pipe back with the exception of the trun downs after the muffler which is a 2.25" size
Superchips 3865 on 91 tune
home made intake 4" tube which attaches from tb to stock air filter box

My truck has close to 35" tires and the 4.7 motor is installed in a 2002 Ram Quad Cab.

My friend has h/o cams installed in his ram and they made more of a noticable difference in his truck than mine do to his smaller tires. So do not think the h/o cams are a total loss.

We all the know the 206s cost more than the h/o cams and I was torn between getting a 2800 stall and run the h/o cams or step up to a bigger cam. Its just my heart was set with 206s and I do not regret that decision.

Im awaiting to borrow a video camera to post vids since my phone lacks a video recorder.

There are 4 different variations of 206 cams that Crane Cams regrinds from. The cam card below is what I went with

Did you do a tune after you installed these cams? I know Air Ram metions an SCT tune is really recommended for these cams. that much better than the HOs for sure? what was the price difference? Gonna sell those HOs?
Just running a superchips currently.Im extremely satisfied of the power gain from them on a stock pcm and I cant even imagine what a custom tune would do? As for the performance gain between the two I prefer the 206s over the h/o cams. The price difference between them is significant; roughly $300 for new h/o cams by themselves. Another $300 to have them reground plus additional $100 for lash caps.

Not sure if Im going to sell the h/o's just yet since a friend of mine might upgrade from his h/o cams to 206s and will use my h/o cores to send to crane. If he does not I will let you know.

Ill have vids posted on dt with h/o cams and 206 cam difference of my 0-60s which I will post the link here asap.

Do you know what the differences are?
Yes, here is a reply back from the rep at Crane Cams. The spec I went with provided the most low and mid range power though

" THERE ARE FOUR DIFFERENT GRINDS THAT HAVE A 206 INTAKE. THE ONE YOU REQUESTED HAS 206 INTAKE & 218 EXHAUST. INTAKE LIFT IS .502 EXHAUST IS .465 AND IS GROUND ON A 112 LOBE SEPARATION. WE HAVE ALSO DONE THE SAME CAM BUT GROUND ON A 115 LOBE SEPARATION. THE OTHER COMBINATION IS 206 INTAKE AND 212 EXHAUST. VALVE LIFT INTAKE & EXHAUST 502. BOTH WITH 112 OR 115 LOBE SEPARATION".

No, just call any of the sales rep. I dealt with a guy named Bob. Not the most knowledegable person to deal with in my opinion, still he got the job done.
