Well the pic that shows the wheel well clearance is with the hangers set at 2" and with a 27" tall tire mounted on a 17" wheel... As long as you don't run a huge ass tire on them 20's then you should be fine.

That's kind of a tall tire... If it's over 28" then you might rub on big bumps with a 3" drop.

You'll rub or have a bumpy ride on the bump stops with three fingers. Or get stiff shocks either way you aren't going to get the improved ride you're after.

More rubber will definately help, but you can get away with the 20's. It's just going to be bumpy. I'd go with the rims you already have any day.

There you go, should make a very nice winter set then eh?

3" drop -front- i can get 2 fingers in, rear i can get 3-4, im sittin 3/5 at the moment but goin back to 3/4, with stock 28" tires my fender lips have taken a beatin so ill be goin back with 26-27" which at the moment i scrub over speed bumps which with 28"" tire i cant go fast but 26" tire i HAVE to crawl over them but i love how low the front crossmember is with 26" tire which is about 3" front the ground plus it handles and rides like a dream on curves

Can you take some pics? I just dont understand how you are suppose to get 3'' of drop with these because if you want to set the leafs to them how do you install the bolt or do you have to drill a hole thru the frame to achieve the 3'' drop? I know there is another member here thats running these without the shackles kit. So im not sure.:sorry:
Take a look at the brackets ......you can see the outside holes where it bolts to the frame, then the bracket bends out away from the frame just enough to create a recess for the nut that goes on the spring bolt.
