I agree. No reason to flame about it. I love HID's, and I used to install them without projectors. I've (thankfully) grown out of that. Nobody thinks you're cool for crusing down the road with the most blue headlights. Theres an asshat around here that has something like 16K (or whatever produces the pinkish color) HID's.

I will likely have a set of 8K bixenon 9007 HID's for sale here soon. I'm in the process of making projector headlights.

I filmed this of my '99, stock fluted headlights with 8000k HID headlights and 3000k foglights. A car with regular halogens goes by, then my truck. This is actually what made me change my opinion on HID's in regular headlights. WAY too much scattered light.

A cutoff is much sexier than ANY HID in stock headlight housing... Here is my Cavalier that I retrofitted projectors into (I have 10000K HID's in these)

I originally came in this thread to say this, my opinion...anything above 6000K is worthless. It's your truck though, do what you want. Personally, 4300K or 5000K is what I use.

Plenty bright, yeah. It's been proven though that anything higher than 6000K has a decrease in lighting output.

8000K is just right for me too.

Its ok guys. I have a Corvette Z06 that is worth 60 grand and is streetable, with stock 335's and a LS1 thats Procharged.lol
