Not sure alot of people that lift on this site, but lets start a thread, you can post your numbers, or discuss what kind of lifting you do, I'll start...

So currently I do a mix of DoggCrapp Trainging and Mike Mentzer / Dorian Yates HIT training.

I'm 175, 20 years old and my lifts are currently at...

Deadlift: 425x3, 365x12, and 315x19
Squat: 315x1, 225x10
Bench: 215x9, 265x1

Hope people start posting numbers!

Iv been lifting since freshman year in HS lol I was a stick. I stayed around 140 for all of hs to stay in the 138lb class, once I moved to Jacksonvile I almost instantly hit 150ish... Im still trying to get to 185-200.

Last real heavy lifting I was able to do was back in HS when I had a decent spotter, my maxes were at:

Dead Lift: 385x1
Back Squat: 315x4
Front Squat: 340x4
Bench : 225x1
Clean and Jerk: 245x1

I'm going to bet my totals have gone down a little since then since I never have a spotter at my gym and don't want to go heavy without one. Especially my CJ since my gym has no rubber weights...

Bench:325x1
Front squat:375
Back squat:dont do em. lol
Dead lift:dont do em
Clean & jerk: 315

All at about 165 lbs. Havent maxed out in about 3 months so im sure ive gone down some. I dont do much strength lifting anymore. Just endurance shit. Like 3x10 sets and stuff. Lot more running as well

Jarhead that couldn't be more true but same goes for getting it back, comes back so quick.

Blue Basher and tyler those are some good numbers, you guys both like front squats? I tried them out never got to into them though. I find that odd cause I don't see alot of people doing them. Nice numbers though.

Thanks man. Yeah i really dont like back squats but i do them every once in a while. They are bad for your back if you go really low. But front squats are good if your into clean and jerks since half of a clean and jerk is squatting it up.

One reason i dont like those is because with those you dont have to get used to the weight of the bar on your shoulders in just a few spots. With that bar, the weigh is evenly spread out across your upper back/shoulders, ect. If you go from something like that to wanting to do something like clean and jerks it will kill you because your not use to the weight of the bar hitting your body in those spots.

I keep referring to clean and jerk only because i love them so much. lol. I hold three school records in them. Makes me miss high school. I wish my college had a weight lifting team. lol

I don't get why people say they hurt your back, never seen any studies or anything on them. I would say its people that don't lift hard enough or dont want to lift hard enough but your clean and jerk speaks for itself. I always squat ass into my calves.

thats what us "old" guys like! spread it out

plus its easier to balance when your shoulders are Fed up
Its not a bad idea jarhead, alot of older powerlifters actually use things like that and will only squat with a regular bar during competition. Its not good for Tyler because he is doing olympic lifts which makes perfect sense, but these new support squat things do have a place, especially with older guys.

x2 on the ass to calves on squats. Thats really the only way to get a GOOD workout from them. You see people that do like 450 lbs at the gym but they only go down like 4 inches. Not really doing anything there but looking like a dumbass. lol. Ive just never liked back squats. Maybe because i dont do them enough to get comfortable with them. Idk.

I've been training since I'm 24.... I'm 54 now. Deep squats are great for growth but your knee's will be shot when you get to be my age.

Coop

I could really piss you guys off....Should I???? SHOULD I?!?!?!?!

I'm 6'1...175-180, I bounce between 9-10% bodyfat.

And I haven't been in a gym for going on probably 4 years or so. And my lunch today was...wait for it..

WAIT FOR IT.

4 double cheeseburgers from Mcdonalds, with a large Sprite. Yes I'm actually being serious about all this.
