Has anyone used crossdrilled/slotted rotors off ebay? The prices there are much cheaper than most websites. Now, I know you get what you pay for, that is why I am asking.

Also, does anyone make an aluminum brake drum for our trucks? That was a trick on the old Camaro board I used to be on.

I got drilled & slotted rotors for the wife's PT Cruiser....got them locally from brake warehouse we deal with at work. Cost me about $300 for all 4....

in my opinion, the ebay rotors are china crap...

I don't think aluminum rotors are made for the Dakotas....especially if it's a 2wd...hub is part of rotor on it

my 2-cents

Cool man, I will be looking around for some quality name brand pieces. Do you notice the difference with them on?

I was referring to the rear drum for aluminum. Sorry for the confusion.

the only reason I went with the upgraded rotors was because the wife is kinda hard on brakes..the OE rotors were down to minimum specs..could not turn them again.

and I don't think aluminum is offered for the rears either...and it would be way hard on the pocketbook to make a set...especially being 6 lug drums...the cost to make a pair would be way more than the amount of weight saved....

I'm at 2.5 years,20k miles & 2 winters on e-bay rotors and premium metallic pads and so far so good. I did clean and paint non-machined surfaces before installing. I don't drive terribly hard. Mine is an 03 with 4 wheel disc.

i had ebc rotors and pads on my 03, loved em. way better braking than the stockers.

currently using the setup your asking about. Drilled and slotted rotors from ebay and ceramic pads from autozone :))) and the pair is a big upgrade from stock.
