I'm wondering if any one has done LEDs in the interior. I'll be replacing the carpet soon and thought it might be nice to add a few LEDs while the carpets out.

all 5 cup holders in the center console, and maybe a few more in the back at ground level.

Has any one seen a good kit for doing something like this? Just run wire and solder individual bulbs?

for the cupholders i would use the cig lighter as a power source for your switch, ground should be easy to find under the center console. I have cathode tubes underneath the rear seats and used the bolt holding the chair in for the ground over there.

You will save more money buying the bulbs individually however its more wire to run and you will also need to calculate what type of resistors you will need.

Here are cathode's under the front dash to give you an idea:

Unlimited possiblities!

I have LED's in the cupholders on mine, pretty simple took it apart, bought some real small single LED from Radio Shack, drilled them through and wired them in, they are really bright at night.

Kind of a crappy pic., I did all 3 of my cupholders, they are much brighter than they look in the pic.

I like these, thanks for the pics.

Dome and Map light LEDs are the way to go...

...Got a buddy that just installed white ones in his Ram and boy to they light that cab up at night.
yea..they sure do...the wife wanted a set for her PT Cruiser after she saw how bright they lit up the interior of Little Blue...the picture I posted a few posts back was taken in the middle of the day

Ebay sells em pretty cheap and most of them already have the resistor soldered in place. I agree on the whole "buying them individually" thought. I have a whole box of leds that I plan on putting in mine, but I haven't had time yet...

Did anyone see the switchback LED bulbs they have out now? When I say switchback I mean it switches from one color to another. I can't remember who makes them but there is a video somewhere on youtube of them.

That's what's in the wife's focus. Has about 8 colors, the kids love choosing what color it is. I'd be happy w/ maybe 3, blue, green, purple.
