Ok, I have a 99 Rango, with a 5.9, and have been fighting this shitty idle for a month and a half. It started July 3rd, drove to Stevenville, Tx and when we got there the Rango started idling real bad. Not all the time, but once the engine got warm. I figured no big deal, I'll change o2's and that's that. I put 2 need sensors in to no avail, runs absolutely fine through the rest of the rpm range, but at idle it falls to about 450-500. When i got home the next day, i started reading though every thread on idle I could find, and have tried just about everything, I've replaced the IAC, the TPS, the MAP, the o2's twice, I've even changed the tb itself. In the interest of being thorough, I also changed the fuel rails and the injectors. So last thing i could think of, this morning I went and had a new catalytic converter put on, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-59956/
However, its still idling like shit. If anyone has any suggestions, or questions, I'm all ears. Just kinda at my whits end.:huh:
