If not some shifters have indicator light that light up beside the shifter, and most cars have the gear numbers beside the shifter on the floor, if your worried about having a non working shift indicator on the dash, get a manual transmission cluster, and remove the thing that takes the place of the indicator and put it on your cluster, kinda like a filler piece, it would then look factoryThesolarR/T said:Ok Thats Great I Will Start On That But I Hope I Can Get The Indicator To Work.
Or... use some black electrical tape :biggthumpjmaack727 said:get a manual transmission cluster, and remove the thing that takes the place of the indicator and put it on your cluster, kinda like a filler piece, it would then look factory
I believe I already explained how, its just a button (older dodges are controlled by a button on the dash. Cruise control is controlled by throttle cable , not the tranny. And remember Mopar likes to keep things simple, your 46re is basically a 727 with an overdrive bolted to the back of it. So the cable operates the OLD 727 ( 1,2,D) and the button controls the NEW overdrive on or off. If you look at the automatic shifters on summit they operate like 5 different transmisions.Solar360 said:And also... How hard is it to make up an overdrive button somewhere else, or what do you have to do with that? and cruise control will still work like normal?

be more specific, what did you adjust/change and what do you mean by "right". Does the truck hang in gear or what?ThesolarR/T said:well started working on it but it started to rain
