Went to lunch two days ago and saw a dak that caught my eye. Upon further investigation its a black std cab 96 V8 5spd. 130k miles. Has the hood I've always wantd. Needs new frnt bumpr and driver fender. I gota post frm a cell and would like sum1 to post pics 4 me. Any volunteers? I'm going to make offer tomorrow, I'm pretty sure ill get it.

Looks like it needs some TLC but its a reg cab V8 5spd so its a sweet find.

Agreed. Buff it (if it can be), lower it, wider tires, better rims and tint and you will be set :mullet: (well besides building the motor up of course:stirthepo)

1800. Talkd him down from 2350. This is the only dak I've seen in person wit this hood. Functional ram air. And I only hav 3 of those wheels. I plan on removing ac and cruise control. Add sum buckt seats. And of course fix the damage. Gona add new headlites and clear corners then niteshade it all. New tailgate. Bunch of small stuff.

Not a bad project truck! You still got your R/T wheels? Id be swapping parts over to the std cab right away.

Craigslist man, there were a few sets floating around me for $300-500, all of which had decent tires on them. I would like to get a set for my truck but I'm already unhappy with the way prices are with a 16" rim compared to a 15", I'd be really pissed paying an extra $20 a tire for a 17":rant:

Hope to get new pics tomorrow. Got front end apart and will be putting on shaved frnt bumper with the valance pictured. Junkyard fender with a couple small dings that I'm gna spray bomb gloss black rustoleum. Got the cowl paintd and the turn and corner lights niteshaded. Also got the grill paintd. I believe its a carriage works billet grille. That's goin back in. Gota niteshade taillights and eventually hav a rollpan. I luv the way the front end looks but I need sumthin to set off the ass. Waybe a small spoiler? Any suggestions?

Western Chassis shackles and hangers, if you wanna do it right.

Thanx will. The undrhood is completely smoothe except for that hole under the scoope. There's rm to cut it urself right now there's a baby 3 or 4in round filter on it. I'm gona try a triangular edelbrock foam filter later this wk. Gona pull apart tb and clean it up tomorow. Real nasty. Seafoam prolly tomorrow. I've touchd up the niteshades since the pic so its all even and no orange. The fendr looks flat black but it hides the dents betr. LOL right now its my DD untill I get tired of sittn straight up. Would it look betr wt new hedlites and clears instead of blackd out?

I think so. I had blacked out corners before clears, i like the clears much better especially since i run blue / amber turn signals with 8000k H.I.D.s.
Sitting straight up SUCKS.. i hate my bench seats.
