it seems like u got a pretty good deal. have fun with the 4.7 in the ram tho...easily the slowest vehicle i have ever driven haha. i love the look of that body style ram but the ones with the 4.7 cant get out of their own way IMHO. they are beautiful and reliable trucks tho i'm not tryin to bash you just voicing my opinion :wave:

I was worried about that, but this truck was pretty peppy, especially considering I have a 185hp ram w/ 33s and then a 200hp v6 dakota. Ill probally do a cai, exhaust, and throttle body. I need to do some research on these 4.7s on what I can do as far as mods go. I would have liked a Hemi but most Hemis around here were around the 22-25 range. I've heard that alot of people w/ the 4.7 rams have swapped it w/ a 5.7 or a 6.1 as easily as putting a v8 into a v6 dakota but I'm not sure but the 4.7L will be fine for what I need, I'm not trying to race it or anything.

And yeah at least I stayed dodge, I could have bought a tacoma X-runner ;)

exactly. the things gonna get you from point A to B reliably. just gotta add some pep to it haha

It should respond to mods nicely I'd think. This rental of mine has the 4.7L and its pretty peppy. And they seem to hold up nicely, even with high miles when taken care of. Shouldn't be a problem for you haha.

The 4.7 is a damned fine motor. Just likes gears. Get at least 4.10s if not 4.56s in it and it'll be WAY happier. I think most people report an INCREASE in mileage from a gear swap.

You've got the BEST factory wheels on a standard production truck *jealous*

They look SUPER sweet with a 5/8 drop. Just saying.

Yeah, I passed smoke on the way home yesterday. I got a lump in my throat as I saw her ride by. She will be missed.

I may go with a 2/4.5 drop on the new truck but that's about it.

Yeah, I had her for 8yrs and put over 60k miles on her. I wish I lived a good enough life where I could have kept it and got a new truck too. I'll get another Dakota but a house will be my next big purchase.

damn bro... i thought something was fishy with yoour "FS thread".. but i guess it may be time to move one.. great looking dakota. but good looing ram. sad to see it go, but hey, everyone has to do what they have to do,...... least you got a v8 now!!! hanha
