i have a 99 and im wondering if the trans from a 01 truck will work?

seems like ive read somewhere they have a different style plugs for the wiring harness

neutral safety switch is different. i think they make an adapter to work with an '01 up tranny going into an older truck though. i know you cant use the pre-'01 tranny in an '01 up though.

They do have an adapter out there for what you're trying to do. I found it when I was trying to do the opposite.
