i will be bagging my dak in the near future, and wanted to know what you guys were running on yours. i.e. rear set up, # of compressors, size of tanks, ect. Also what do you guys recommend and do not recommend

yeah

yeah dude screw going fast bagging djwolf check out air ride technologies they make a completey rear and front kit to bag our daks, the rear gets rid of the rear suspension completely bolt on. it offers up to 10 inches of drop. Thats what i'll be getting.

yea the air bar is nice thats what i have on mine, just make sure you trust who ever puts it on, and if you want that full 10 in drop from it youll have to use a different c-notch on the frame, i also bought the shockwaves from airride tech and the work great the handle doesnt improve from night to day but you can feel the difference and it still has a smooth ride as long as you put on the shocks that come with it i have some 1/4 airride tech values and two tanks if you would be interested

They are actually the first company i looked at when i decided to bag my dak, but after i found out that ya cant lay with it, i decided to keep looking

i agree man..... somehow......:needpix:

ya. daks arent like s10's. they are not easy to get to lay out. i looked into doing mine, and i still am, but there are a couple issues. wheels are hard to get because you need a massive offset. thats the problem with mine. you should become super framiliar with airbags and then decide if you still want them. if you do, a custom setup would be the best idea...

i could explain how to do it without all the technical temrs if youd like

im thinkin

This is what im thinking all art components 20's all around (if they fit) Im probably gonna need like 20x7 in the front probably 20x8 in the back bigger c notch if i need it. . . . obviously backspacing is an issue, but im getting custom wheels so thats not a problem.

well i know how to do it, and i am familiar enough to know that i want...no need bag on my dak. I just wanted to see what everyone else was running on there daks, since (like ya said) daks are a PIA to lay out.

I will be doing most of the installs myself, but will get a shop to do some things that i just want a warranty on.

As far as you explaining it, all i really need to know is the different types of rear setups people are running on daks. i.e. 4 link, 2 link, 6 link, cantilever, ect

ok sorry ive been out of town i will try and get some posted tomorrow i have 20's front and rear, my dak will lay frame, but i wont drag it and i dont drop it all the way, i have to notch out for the driveshaft, if i drop it all the way it rubs on the bottom of the cab i already broke one, so i learned quickly. The front wont lay out right now with the stock control arms, but i have a set of DJM 3in drop arms to put on it, i just need to get around to do it. Also i didnt use the c-notch that comes with the air ride kit, i had a custom notch made and thats what allows the rear to lay out.

alright coool man, i would love some pics. so you have a different notch...that is what i was thinking about the other day when i was looking at the pics of the parts of their kit. Also do you have the coolride setup for up front or what do you have up there. I also have (in process of getting) the DJM 3" arms....what cups are you using for those? The only thing that is stopping me from starting to buy parts is finding a set of cups that will work those arms. Do you know if i could just use a set of s-10 cups?

im pretty sure you can. because cups arent welded in. they just kind of sit in the conrtoll arms like coilsprings. the weight of the truck keeps them in place...
well i was thinking about the size of the cups though...i don't know the diameter of the s-10 cups so i don't really know if there to small or to big (most likely two small)

i cant even afford a 22/24 combo...lol but i'm going to be set up to lay that big though. a little extra work, but i rather it be done now and not later on down the road when it becomes a pain.
