seeing how most people use sct and a 2 bar map sensor has anybody took off their 1 bar and put some sort of plate over the tb? also if could i see some pic's where your 2 bar is mounted. mine is mounted right next to the pcm and i might be moving the pcm back so im going to need a new spot. thanks

The map sensor is on with two torx bolts, there is an elbow beneath it that goes to a port on the throttle body. All you need to do is cap that port.

thanks for the info and pic. i wonder how it will act with the 1 bar being disconected. its been a while since i drove the truck, it has no more than 40 miles on it from being boosted. when i wired up the 2 bar i never disconnected the plug from the original map sensor.:forehead: the wiring diagram i got was hand written and said nothing about disconecting the original so i thought nothing of it. seeing threads pop up with wiring diagrams got me thinking, good thing i caught this before i messed something up. i think thats the reason i had that high idle after i hammered on it.

fyi the 2bars can be picky on where you have the vac line connected to. I just redid my vac lines and moved it to the back of the throttle body and my idle a/f is WAY off. Im talking high 16's a/f. Im moving it back tomorrow and expect it to go back to normal.

Mine is right under the TB and to the side. I used that tape for EZ Pass's to hold it on under and to the side of the TB and the spacer that is on there. The stock 1Bar is still on there and the bolts hold on the Fuel Pressure regulator.

I put some new better looking allenhead hardware in the holes and capped the port. 2 bar is on the firewall with vac line from the manifold.

thanks for the pic. i like how you have it in the same area as the 1 bar. im going to make a little bracket off the tb so i can have it in the same spot maybe a little lower than the original.

is that when your were smoking your belt at the vw dyno?

Yea, It ended up being the pulley hitting my A/C line that bent around the line. I have since made a new A/C line and put a shorter belt on it. Should run even better now.
