whats the biggest depth wise speaker that i can fit into my club cab (in the doors) i've heard upto 4inches.. but that doesnt sound right...

i also am interested... woudl a type r 6-1/2 fit? without spacer rings?
the speakers i installed were 3 1/2 inches deep. but i used two 3/4 inch mdf rings to attach the speakers.
i dynamated the outside skin of the doors and the window did not come close to that stock speaker enclosure. i have manual windows though, just a crank in there no motors.

Eu-700s drop right in with plenty of space around them, so you should be able to fit just about anything that's a 6.5"....the only thing you have to watch out for is the window track, but this isn't really an issue unless you put in something larger(dia.) that would require minor cutting. The 'problem' with putting speakers in is there isn't really a way to make a secure connection without some sort of spacer(such as a modified OEM unit.)
