thwice now when starting the truck it stallls on me to get it going i have to keep my foot on the gas and evevtually the rpms stay up and it is okay can anybody help.

Got a vehicle with a newer battery you can swap and try? I'd bet it's a weakish battery causing your issue. Classic Dodge issue.

Could also have a local store load test the battery.

Probably your IAC valve going bad.

what is the iac valve please explain

Idle Air Control.

4.7 engine - Location is lower of the two plugs on the driver side of the throttle body.

3.9/5.9 engine - Location is the back of the throttle body I beleive.

willl almost guarentee it's the IAC, had the samething happen on mine earlier this year, thought it was the fuel pump, turned out to be the IAC
