Wow..what a thread hi jack.
I got my current Dakota brand new when I was 18 with help from my mom. I made the payments but the loan was in her name. I took it over 2 years later.
I remember back when 300 hp was allot..lol Now if you don't make 500+ your below the norm. (At least here in town)

LOL and the "Lets compare motor to motor" was pretty stupid.
A built low compression motor vs. a built 10.x comp motor..come on now..
Although I wouldn't be surprised if a low comp motor still made around 300 hp.

Actually, i don't post a lot on this thread. I just recently starting talking a lot on here, because of what's been said for the past 10 pages. Keep in mind this thread is 197 pages long so EVERYBODY has posted a lot.

I dont post much on this thread - I mainly read but it is safe to say that noone really gives a shit about the following:
1.) You being 19 years old
2.) You supposedly having a 10 second truck - all that money into a SUPPOSED monster skimped on tuning????????? WTF?????????
3.) You mowing lawns to pay for all your stuff - we have all done it and quite frankly I dont have much if any sympathy for those that feel others are spoon fed....some people are luckier than others in the financial department or their living situation. DEAL WITH IT!!
4.) You dont know what real bills are yet at 19 years old being a college student - tack on a mortgage, business taxes out the ass, employment taxes out the ass, property taxes out the ass (thank you CA)...all stuff that I pay that you dont, yet.
Have fun bashing other people now because later in life you will get to lose ALOT of your financial spending priviledges - its called growing up!

I completely agree! I don't know what the fuck happened to this thread! I used to really love reading about Sick660R's build so I could learn a thing or 2 when the time came that I was going to build up my truck, but now everyone is just bitching back and forth like little children. Who cares who has more money and who's truck was built by who, I'm sure if everyone had the will, knowledge, and tools to build their truck, car, or whatever by themselves then they would, but some people don't have all those qualities and just happen to have the money to get it build by someone. I know I would like to build my whole truck myself, but I don't have all the tools or knowledge needed, so I'll just try to learn and do what I can. Just because it's the internet and no one on here actually really knows anyone else doesn't mean you need to front or have your big boy pants on just to try to prove something to people who potentially live hundreds of miles away, who you will probably never come into contact with otherwise. How about we keep the bitching and fighting to a minimum and just enjoy the fun, knowledge, and chuckles that this site was meant to bring in the first place!!

Hate to tell you but, Shit don't add up here bud, you claim a stock converter but have a big cammed 408.
Now you claim a truck with close to same power as mine but HEAVIER runs just as fast as mine but at a slower mph???????
My R/T went 11.6 @ 117 with 1.78 60' time on motor and I'm a RC truck putting down 450-480 to the wheels.

Hmmmmm.........good point. I guess the progress of his truck also slowed wayyyy down, almost to a stand still. I still read it though with hopes that some new, good information and progress will come about soon.

No disrespect to anyone out there in any way shape or form. However it is my understanding that slammed is a bit "larger" of a guy than most and makes up the difference in truck weight.......... to something that is nearly too minimal to compare.
