Well my JBA's took a crap on me and cracked at the merge collector on the passenger side. I've had problems with the headers because I have a body lift and suspension lift and I melt the bushings in my upper control arm because of clearance issues. So I wrapped the header's to keep the heat off the bushing but I guess the heat took it's toll on the header now.
Anybody have a recommendation for another header that doesn't have the clearance issue...that has a body lift on their truck? I don't want to put the stock manifolds back on especially with the supercharger and its flow needs, but may be my only option at this point because i don't want the clearance issues again.
I can't stand the noise of the leak at this point and it's messing up my fuel mixture i'm sure, so I want to take care of it this week. I'm bummed because it still melted the bushing so that needs to be replaced again too.
I've had trouble getting JBA's headers to match up to their own y-pipe without leaks. I've sealed and resealed with red RTV to try and remedy this with no solution. Now the flange on the y-pipe is bent from tightening it so many times, even ran out of thread on the provided bolts. I'm ready to scrap the whole set-up at this point.
Here is the wrap job I did about 6 months ago
and the reason for it (also the flange that won't seal, now bent to the point they are almost touching on each end)
