decided to go out to rockford for some wheelin today. when i was about 10 i use to ride my quad out there when i lived there and remember the trails being very good. now 10 years later, i wasnt disappointed.

this river crossing was a blast. i only have one good pic but ill have the videos later. what a good day of wheelin. the color of the woods and the weather... everything went great.

i need to invest in a quality camera. that was taken on my buddies camera phone. not bad for a phone but it would look really good on one of those nice cameras

It's illegal to go wheeling? Really?

Damn, that sucks ass! You've inspired me to go find some fun wheeling possibly this weekend. We'll see. I have a steering box brace, and e-Fan to install. (4.56 gears too!)

its all state property but they are ass holes. its also in rockford, one of the most dangerous cities in america lol. so lots of these people steal shit, drive it out here and just burn it or w/e. saw 2 burnt cars "unrecognizable" and a jet ski lol.

there are very few parks in illinois. they are real stingy about quads and all other OHV.

what do you drive? what kinda wheelin you do? new mexico is a little more offroad friendly than illinois.

Coming down to my neck of the woods to play huh, looks like fun! Where you by the airport or further north? You are right about Rockford tho, it is the #2 most dangerous city in IL but by staying out of the west side at night I have never had a problem.

i didnt realize you were around there. the trails get too tight and go into the water ways to get to the airport so we didnt go that far west. but we were down by the kish, just easy of perryville. the west side does get pretty sketchy. my buddys jeep got stolen one night. they found it with the stereo gone and all the windows busted out and it looked liked they tried to run over a lawn mower or something lol.

You understand that there is a huge fight by the offroading community to keep public land open, and illegal wheeling and irresponsible use by wheelers who disregard the laws is fuel for more land to be closed right?

You might want to think before posting a picture of your jeep in a creek on land that isn't private property because that just provides more ammunition for the greenies to close down land.

Acknowledging that it is "illegal" in the same post is just retarded.

Wow that turbo sucks ass! We from time to time have to bring a trailer out into the woods and drag a burnt out POS back to the landfill where it belongs.

I wheel in my 00 Ram. it's nothing special by any stretch of the imagination, but it's always gotten me where I wanted to go. It's mainly fairly easy trails around here, very few water crossings, no mud (I avoid it at all costs, it's just messy and makes shit rust faster). Yes, New Mexico is ALOT more wheelin friendly. Hell, we have the Chili Challenge here every year in Las Cruces. (that's crazy Rock Crawlin)
