Any one have any clue on when they will be back in stock. Looking to buy myself an early birthday gift.

Trade me your Supercharger for my set that i have NIB, mwuahahahaha.

But seriously last I heard Comp cams was working with the dealers to at least get the HO cams rolling again, but they were not gonna get anything more. The only luck you are gonna have right now is if someone has a set they would sell you.

Allright thanks, btw i sold the supercharger sorry. I miss the power so im looking for a new direction for the D. Its under some construction right now.
have you looked into a converter? I mean that is my next thing once I get off my lazy ass and get the cams installed. I know it won't give you anymore power but it will allow you to get into the powerband quicker. That a long with some gears will make it seem like it has a ton more power when all you really are doing is making better use of the power you already have.

So far for me the two biggest thing that I did that I feel netted me the most power would be the superchips and the F&B TB. The superdhips wins hands down but the TB did make the truck pull harder all the way through. Don't know if you have either f those yet but just trying to help. I know nothing will compare to the Kenne belle though. :(

I say don't waste your time with simple H/O's. Go with the 212 grind or at least the 206's.

I currently run the H/O's and have been for a few years now. I can't remember the difference between the stock set, but my theory behind that is, if I can't remember the difference, it wasn't enough of a change.

LMAO, love that theory:jester:

HO cams add 15HP and 25 ft.lbs TQ over stock cams. The 2002 Jeep 4.7 HO engine had 30 more HP than a non-HO. I paid $260 for my HO pair a few years ago, so the cost vs. performance compared to $600 for 206's made for an easy choice at the time.

Sell the 02 manifold, buy 08 manifold....
wanted to. but getting a 350$ TB adapter plate doesnt really justify 15hp more.. was thinking about selling the cams and mani, and upgrading to the 08 mani and 206 cams... BUT then i needed to buy tires to. so, im going with this set up now. since its my DD and all, maybe later.. maybe not?

It's an issue to spend 250-300 on an adapter plate, but you're willing to spend upwards of 750 on cams even AFTER you sell the HOs?

I had the 212x's, I ended up selling them. Stick with the HOs. Trust me. Get the 08 manifold. The reground cams (206/212/212x/218) do not make enough power over the HO to be worth the price of admission.

Ultimately, it's your truck, and I could care less what you do...but it's something to consider.

yes very true. i do appreciate your input. but i was hoping to find a set of used 206 cams.. saw some on dodge talk, but couldnt make up my mind... they were for good price too. the intake is an eas-ier install than the cams anway. so i can always go back and swap them if need be...

Don't waste your money dude. the bigger cams do put down high numbers at peak but the HOs are a sweet bang for the buck. They produce a better curve than the reground cams.

I am currently consulting and helping put together a N/A 4.7 Jeep build with mostly "flea market" parts, while the owner has the money for regrinds of his choice, I have convinced him to run the HOs. We are basically doing it to determine just how far we can push a 4.7 with cheapo upgrades, with high-dollar stuff being used in a few select areas.

More and more people are swapping to the 08 manifold, sell it while people would still want the 02 manifold.

Yes, do it. 08 mani rules. :mullet:

im still running the h/o cams.. no question. but am going to stick with the h/o mani. the install is tomorrow...

The 02 H/O Mani is the second best Manifold available <--- Not available but around...., the 2008 Manifold offers an easy 15RWHP gain over the 02 H/O intake... so its a great mod and its something you can step up to in the future. I don't think you will have a hard time selling it though as its still a good manifold. But you could easily get 225.00-250.00 for the H/O intake and put that towards a 2008 intake... So the 2008 MANI would not cost you much at all when the dust settles.

Keep us posted... Im sure you will enjoy the gains of the H/O intake over your 2001 intake... there is a BIG difference between the two.

Ill trade you my adapters to my 08 intake for your h/o cams and a little cash. Lol I really like the 08 compared to the 06 intake I had.

sorry man.. installs already going on ^^
