Looks like your paint needs to be buffed where you rubbed the hell out of it.

Good thing basecoat/clearcoat is forgiving.
I agree, may want to use some clear coat safe compound followed by a good polish. Should get it looking like new.

welll the goo gone worked and i waxed over it, and its pretty near winter time here soo ill buffer in the spring and hopefully it goes away..
 
Been there

Removed these things a few times from three different trucks. I've just rubbed at it with a finger till it was all gone, used dental floss, and used goo-gone or some combination of all methods. After a wash and polisn I have NEVER seen any permanent damage caused.

i washed it and waxed it, im going to wait till next spring when we buff
 
Found that WD-40 works better than Goo Gone if you don't use a rag. Just use your finger tip to scrub it off, then wipe. I took the decals off my hood and it worked wonders.

Only place I've found Goo Gone is at the Dollar Store. Weird huh?
