2k1AmberR/T is a bit of a hot head, Damn! Who cares what Mopar4life wants to do to his truck. Viper rims don't even look bad on the Dakota's and not everyone has thousands of dollars to blow on fancy rims such as CCW's like you do. Geez!

Thats not exactly what I wanted to hear since I eventually want to get a set. Do you think its possible for them to make a set that will clear?

Im waiting till I get the brakes to order the spacers. If dannys is done before I get the spacers ill just put washers on so I can get it there.
Welcome to drive up and try my set on if you like. Might not be exactly the same but I still have the order number to compare. I am sure they have all the specs on file still.

What makes you think any given 18's are going to be any different? You're going to need a custom set made...I even use spacers with my CCW's.
I'm sure the CCWs can be cut for a truck with viper brakes eliminating the need to run spacers. When I had the wheels you are running cut, I was asked if my truck was running stock brakes or not.

I will have to take you up on that offer when the time comes. Thanks

I never understood the allure of VIPER rims on the dakota's to be honest. They do bolt on but IMO 'actually fit' for shit. They look funny to me.

Now the SRT Viper wheels are a bit better but the older gens look REALLY out of place.

Just my .02.....

i would love to put SRT viper wheels on my truck.

I think I will just go the route that BillMopar went with his custom install of Willwood calipers on 03 durango rotors. As for high dollar custom rims, I'll just stick with some cheap American Racing 20's as soon as I have the money. The old Viper rims (pre-03, i believe?) do look out of place on Dakotas, but the SRT Viper rims IMHO actually look pretty good, especially if you're on a budget.

rotors came in today and calipers should be here tomorrow. Rotors are just over 8 pounds around 3 pounds heavier but they are huge. 2k1, u think I might have enough room to clear the calipers with the 20's?

Those are 13" or 14"? And what brand/type are they that they're 8lbs.?? You mean 28?

I'm not sure, I don't think I have a tape measure here...actually I have a scale I can use but it's dark out. I'll be right back in a few minutes with a rough measurement of my spoke to rotor edge clearance...

they are 13's and I meant 18, sorry. They are baer eradispeed plus
Wow they're light. I have OEM 13s right here and they're 27lbs. a piece. My 14" rotors are 28lbs. a piece. The center part is steel or aluminum im assuming or something, thats the only way they'd save wight, wit ha 2pc design. They're sexy. How much u pay for the pair?

I have 2 5/8" clearance between the spoke and edge of the rim. (Roughly.) So it was about 2" from the rotor to the rim without the 5/8" thick spacer. Looks like you might only be about 1/4" off or so with your rims, is that with washers on the studs with the wheel torqued on, or no washers at all just mounting the wheel on top of the rotor? I measured from the middle of the spokes though, looks like you're a few inches out from the center...move that bitch in to the middle and see what happens for a more accurate comparison to mine.

Where did you find 14" rotors, or is that the newer style brakes? The center is aluminum. They were around 550 for the pair.

Thats just with the wheel on hand tight with no spacers. The hub is also not torqued down but that wont make a difference. Ill get some better numbers tomorrow.
