I am under the impression that I can install a higher ratio rocker arm to my stock motor and get more lift to compliment full exhaust, intake, throttle body, cold air intake, and custom tune... can I cheat and use the rockers instead of replacing the cam and can I do it with no clearance issues? Or would it just be cheaper and easier to replace the cam? Not wanting to go too extreme just wanting to move a little more air...

Yes, you can just get some 1.7 RRs for a little more lift. Might have to get some aftermarket valve covers though, but Im not positive. I think some will clear? Somebody else will post up the definite answer or you could just use the search.

Its definitely cheaper and easier than doing a cam, if you do a cam its more beneficial to do head work at the same time. Depending on how much lift the cam you were to go with has, you would HAVE to do some head work like upgrading your valve springs etc..

the harland sharp 1.7's fit under stock valve covers with no problems at all. they are a very easy bolt on.

Yes, a direct bolt on without any additional parts. Prices vary from $325/$375 (new) to $150/$250 (used). Check ebay or craigslist for used rockers. Good luck!

It may also only be for eddy heads as well.
That would make sense due to the fact that eddys have guideplates. With regard to the "self aligning" rr's, the valve stem on stock heads do not protrude enough for the roller tip to seat. But those scorpion rr's look like nice pieces nonetheless.
