Autocross Event Openings, Saturday at Pigeon Forge

Hi Folks,

I confirmed that there are several autocross openings for the Run Thru The Hills pro-touring.com event at Mainstay Suites in Pigeon Forge. If you guys want to stop over, you will see some killer muscle rides. There are about 80 pro touring muscle cars registered, and even Popular Hot Rodding's Steven Rupp is bringing Bad Penny from California. I'll be there with the Kuda and probably my Dakota R/T56.

Don't change your Dragon run for this, but if it makes sense, come over and check it out. It is the only Mainstay Suites in Pigeon Forge.

hey, i forgot about this until i got a Pm from 01. unfortunately, the truck isn't in the best condition to be able to make this trip, especially with it stallin out when i make corners. so, if you don't mind, i was thinking about bringing the 'stang out to do it.

Something has come that I have discussed w/ howard and I won't be able to make this trip. However I plan on going up there Nov 13-15 if all goes well. So if anyone has fun and would like to do it again before next year we might able to do another mini meet.

Hope everyone has fun and stays safe, take plenty of pictures. And Shafi I'm gonna hate that I miss the opportunity to see the R/T56, hopefully there will be an opportunity where I can see it in Nov.

Depending on how many we have Saturday morning, we may just make a few Dragon runs, then take a "detour" over Look Rock to Townsend/ Wears Valley/ Pigeon Forge. Let's see:
1. Peaceful drive on the Cherohala @5000 ft...OR...
2. Roaring engines and tires burning @ Pigeon Forge
Hmmm?
Dakotas on the Dragon participants at McDonald's in Robbinsville @ 11AM Saturday have one vote each :funny:
Mainstay Suites is at 410 Pine Mountain Road, Pigeon Forge, TN.
BTW, the Porsche and Cobra groups are still planning on being @ the Dragon Saturday, too.

not unless you got bald tires. i barely have 1k on my nitto nt450's. im good to go.

Not really. The side benefit is fewer :bye: motorcycles.
Chance of rain tomorrow is 40% until 3PM, then 60%.

These low turnouts aren't very inspiring, but hopefully DOTD III will happen, and you'll be there :wave:

OK, here we GO!
*Meet up: Robbinsville, NC McDonald's @11AM EDST
*Gas up @Chevron on US129 (if needed)
*Head North on US129 to Deals Gap and the Dragon
*At the "Head" of the Dragon (mile 11 in TN), stop in the parking area. Dragon lap # pow-wow.
Also: a stop at Deals Gap for souvenirs, etc.
*Cherohala Skyway from NC to TN
*Hooter's or ??

BTW, I've got some minor goodie bags; "you must be present to win" :jester:

we had a blast yesterday!!! :drive: all of you who decided to go sit in a parking lot and eat hotwings missed out big time. i kinda feel bad for ya....:sorry:

Yeah I hated to miss this myself. But the parking lot and hotwings option was just alittle bit cheaper :jester:

damn guys.. looks hella fun!!!! next time hopefully we can get somethig going in the summer months.... good thing i didnt go though, found out i have a nasty coolant leak.. and 4 hours from home is a long haul for something like that!!
