Hi there from central Kentucky! I have a 2002 Dakota SLT 4.9l quad cab -- dark green with grey interior and fiberglass matched topper -- and ADORE it. It has 193,XXX on the clock and is doing AWESOME. The only real thing we have had to do to it beyond regular maintenance was have it fixed when a manifold stud broke when it was about two years old, and replace the ECM a year and a half ago. It had the typical wheel-upgrade brake-rotor warping problem, and we have beat that by cryo-treating the rotors (we were lucky enough to live five miles from a cryo-treating facility at our last location).

Glad to have found the forum! I will be hanging onto this truck until they have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers, so it will be a good resource as it ages.

No real modifications beyond a K&N filter, bed liner and barbed-wire pinstripes. ;) I just spent seven hours on the exterior two Sundays ago putting the Zaino system on it, and it rocks!

Here's a poor picture from the cell phone after the Zaino:

Thanks for the great resource!

Suz :)

Howard, is that your truck? That is awesome! :)

And the Somerset cruise looks fantastic! We will have to get down there sometime.

Yep, that's me! The photo was taken on the US129 Dragon near the TN/NC line. Our GTG is this Saturday, 9/19 if you want to come. Details at the Region 2 Southeast forum "Dakotas on the Dragon II".
