because you dont want to catch it on fire when you weld the cage in.
Ah yes, I understand. Hmm, so that sucks if I want to put it around the sub box. Cause it sort of has to go through it.

after a cage is installed how is it painted/powdercoated? i never understood that.

they usually powder-coat the tubing before they install it.
Knock of where they need to weld and then Rattle-Can back over the welds.

I think they can also powder-coat over it but it takes patience and know how. You would have to heat the tubing with a torch and apply the PowderCoat while it's still hot.

Now if your talking Professional Tube chassis cars. They weld up the chassis and have the whole thing powder coated at once. Whole chassis in the oven.

IB in a rattle can
then its gonna still look nice. its gotta be even nicer to be able to get your color in a spray can...duplicolor basically says that atlantic blue doesn't exist.

You saying that place is no good or does not look legit?
They (SM) just seem ricer to me. I'd shop around. Racersden.net might know of a few good places as well. I'd ask over there. They are a local forum. MBS is the only shop in the area that I know that does true mandrel bends. Chris has all of his turbo kits done there.

Yea I know they are ricer, that does not bother me. I used to be a ricer myself with a CRX, haha. I don't sell them short because the real import guys can put together some really fast cars. I will call MBS and see what they say.
