I have an extang rt roll up one... As much as I hate to admit it because of how much I paid for it to be honest it isn't that great. It does work well if your looking to keep it rolled up most of the time but if you want it covering the bed most of the time it isn't that great.

I like it, don't get me wrong but the velcro that holds it down sucks so it always floats up and doesn't stick to the bed. It does seem pretty water proof but when driving it flaps around and doesn't seem stuck to the bed. I didn't notice any difference with MPG either.

i don't have any of those issues with mine. there is a tension adjustment to them.

Also had an Extang RT

It was flushmount so it pooled water which was worsened by the fact that the velcro never seemed to hold tight so it would sag a bit. Looked great when rolled out and fastened but it just wasn't as functinoal. Before this I had a snapping cover by Extang, a black max. It never sagged and the bed stayed bone dry but snaps were a pain in my ass and the bows always fell out.

I now have an Extang sabre on my new truck. Faster than snaps to attach and remove but will probably still shrink and be a pain in the winter. The bed stays bone dry and the new bow design ensures they don't fall out when I'm driving.

It's hard to find the perfect compromise between cosmetics, ease of use, and a cover that can be left on that will keep the bed dry and not sag without constant tweaking. If I were you I'd look at the folding/removable soft covers, that's another design I like. And don't let the bed liner worry you. Those can be notched so the clamps can be fastened to the rail if you have the right tool or pay the installer a bit extra.
