i see it like this, as stated before with the funnel thing, air is just like water. it wont just all get crammed through that opening in the funnel to feed more air. second, with the stock paper filter, not gonne get more air flow through it because you run a tube to it instead of out the fender well. third, with the tube you have, with all the fins in it, the fins are restrictive as well. thats why you dont see k&n or any of the other cai companies making their intakes out of that, they make them out of metal or straight smooth plastic. good job on making it and all, good learning experience, hell...good job thinking it up. but its still restrictive.

One thing it does do for a fact, I have tested it, is that it will get cooler intake air. Not a major change, but it does do that!
