Well it's time to get some sound back into the truck. I used to have two kicker 12'' but took them out for a few reasons but now I'm ready to get this thing moving. I already have the base of my sub box built. It's going behind my seats in my regular cab. I want to get the box done this week or next so here's the list:

four - JL Audio 12W0v2-4 (300 watt RMS)

All running on a 1000watt mono JL amp:

for door speakers I'll probably go with a pair of diamond audio components and for the custom center console I'll just go with a pair of JL speakers (probably 6.5'') Any thoughts?

Here's the box. It will be wrapped in leather and in the bottom middle, I'll do a plexi-glass cut out and have the JL logo etched in and light it up blue and all that good stuff. I'm doing a fiberglass center console that extends up to my dash and than back to the sub box so it all looks connected.

since u have a rc why not go with the alpine pdx 1000? or another pdx cuz that amp is massive that u have picked out. i have one that size in my dur and its a PITA

I was looking at the alpine amps earlier today and thought about it. All the amps will be located in the truck bed in a custom sealed box along with the truck battery and audio battery, so a larger amp (in size) isn't a problem. I also thought about a kicker amp since I can get them at wholesell but who knows. I was just trying to stick with the JL/Diamond theme, but my hearts not set on that.

i got jl, alpine. jl sub and the rest alpine. my amp is kole audio for now. but once i get performance done im moving to audio a little more. i got alpine speakers a alpine headunit and a jl sub so it is good for now till i can afford a speaker amp and a new headunit.

If my calculation are correct, there is around 3.5ft of airspace. I'm been trying to think of a way to port this box all morning but I think I'll just leave it sealed. Since these subs are not in high demand of airspace, it should work out alright. Only one way to find out.

I think 4 12"s sealed will be plenty loud in that cab :)

I'll be doing my install sometime this week, RE SE off 600w, should be plenty for me. Gotta build myself a box later this week.

I was gonna do SE's or SX's. Now that I know what kinda airspace I could get, I might go with the two SE's.

Only 2 or 3 clicks. The bottom of the box is only 8'' wide. The carpet piece comes out and a little space is gained there. I'm also getting a pair of the sidewinder seats and the backs to those are not as thick as the stock seats so space is also gained there. So there will be plenty of room for me. Here was my old set-up btw,

LEave the box sealed!!! Ported 12s usually like to have around 1.5 to 2 cubic ft per sub to sound good...but thats just my experience...
