Drag racing at Byron Dragway Saturday

There is a link to the flier on this page www.chicagolandmopar.com . I plan on being there with the Dakota at least Sunday, and maybe at the track Saturday anyone else going?

oh yeah fo sho ill be at the track. and the fairgrounds are like 15 minutes from me so ill prolly stop buy. ill look for your truck.

thats like a 2.5 hr drive to byron from you. about 2 hrs to the fairgrounds. sounds good man we'll see ya

Up date on the Happening......

Mopars in the Park was a smash, very well attended, Mr.Norm had a nice group of cars and the day was perfect....except ther was not a single Dakota or Durango shown....I got there to late.

Cool deal, I hope to be at the track Saturday and the fairgrounds Sunday. Nothing like watching some old school muscle go down the track and maybe making a couple passes in the Dak.

dan youn havent gotten the truck runnin yet? you want those 24lb injectors?

nope engine is in the shop getting the piston to valve clearence sorted out. once i get it running ill let you know if you still have them. im still not 100% sure there what i need i dont know if mine are 24's or 26's.......some places say one thing some say another.

its 2lbs. if you arent getting 24s then get 30s.

what are your mods? you going with the procharger? if so get atleast 30s. i didnt even know 26s were made.

mine are not 21s there either 24's or 26's. in 94 and 95 they dropped the fuel pressure and up'ed the size of the injector. and with my part number some sites call them 24's and some call them 26's. i cant just put bigger injectors in because im useing the computer and a fmu so if i did that at idle i would be way rich.

the reason i cant go to the track is because i have a college graduation party on Saturday, otherwise id be there. i love Byron drag way.

oh ic. well you would odviously need a tune. if your ganna run the procharger to everything right other wise its a waste of money. good luck finding injectors.

I have lived within 10 miles of the track for over two years and have never set foot on the grounds:huh:, hopefully I can get a few tips on making my first passes with the Dak from one of you.

where you from?

i've had the truck running before with what i have ive just put a different cam in it and a new intake manifold. im using a fmu untill i can get the money to switch over to obd2 or standalone or piggyback

Where was everyone at the mopars at the park?? I was there too but not with the dak but my 71 Dodge Charger, the cream colored one.

As for the belvedere show, im not sure if im gonna make it to that one. Might take the truck if i do go. I gotta see what other shows are in the area before I plan on this one.
