First off, wuts up people? Okay I have a 03 SLT 4.7L with under 60,000 miles on it, Latley when coming to a stop she wants to stall out but with the AC running its fine, I've done a search and came up with the Terminals loose, sensor behind the TB could be dirty, What else do you think it could be? I have not checked these items yet because Im in Iraq and the old lady is mechanically retarted  we have a warranty on the Durango but it seems to not do it when she takes it in (figures) so I will take it upon myself to fix it with the help of you guys. Thanks for anything.

First off, I would like to thank you for service to our country and welcome to Dak-Dur! How long does your wife drive it before the problem come up? Is the stealership closer than the miles driven? If so, they may have to hold the D and test drive it unitl the problem shows up. OR you can have your wife print out all the info you found and show them the info and have them fix it. If your D in under warrantee, you should make them pay for any and all repairs covered under warrantee. Just my .02. HTH.

OH....without a doubt I'm gonna use the warranty but if it's something that I might just have to clean I'm not gonna go through the trouble of sending the truck in if it's an easy fix, honestly I just don't trust the integrity of anybody with my vehicles...thats my biggest problem.

Oh I understand how we feel about our Ds. I like to work on my D as well. You can always trust the mechanic!...Hehehe... :D I hope you get the info you need to get this done. I'm sure the gurus out there wuold be glad to help.

Well my wife just wrote and said she's taking it to dodge tomorrow, hopefully they fix it, if not I'm.......well I dont know what I'm gonna do haven't thought that far ahead....

Hey BT, you just worry about coming home, okay? I'm sure if the guys at the stealer knew you were risking your life for us, they would do a good job.

So my wife took the Duran. into the dealer to get it fixed, well of course it wouldn't do it and they couldn't find anything wrong with it...ok....well what really pissed me off was she had to pay the 100 dollar deductable and they didn't fix shit! WUTS WITH THAT DODGE!! ok I feel better :D

That's bs man. I never paid anything under warranty. Has the problem happened ever since she brought it back home?

she said it happened to her a couple times when she bought it back in our home state, she drove it to NC were I'm stationed and now she said its doing it again, the deductable is inevitable but a couple times she didnt pay it because they were cool about it since they didnt fix it and this was back in our home state WV...so Im going to do what I can I guess.

I just reread your first post, could it be the throttle linkage is loose? Does she have to give it gas at stop lights or stopping to keep the engine going? I know when my D tried to stall when I didn't have any load on it, it would try to stall but when I give it gas, it's good to go. But when I have the a/c on or the heater on, the engine purrs great cause there is a load on it to keep the rpm up. Just my .02.

Well since being home now for a week from Iraq and driving it around I haven't had the problem accure yet, the only thing it has done was drop in idle to around 500 RPM and sit there for a while but nothing major..so I dunno

Yup...Only if its me that is...:banana2::worky:no way the stealership touches my truck...or the oil change joints... the only person I (somewhat) trust other than me to work on my truck is my buddy thats ASE certified, morking at the local 4 yr college...as maintenance...and even then I'm ALWAYS there to watch/help...

my 5.2 always sits at 500rpm at idle once its warm...

start with the easiest things first, fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank, clean the throttle body and iac thats attached on the side. run some seafoam through the brake booster, change your plugs out. should cancel out most of your problems right there. Sounds in more of a need of a tune up more then likely.
