id not be suprised but a bum may have more money then you think, lol.
they arrested a "bum" here in dallas pan handling on the corner. when they booked him he had over $6500 in cash in his pockets. He was heading back to his NEW LS430 and his reidency was Highland Park (where George Bush now lives). He had bought the house AFTER being let go during a downsizing in 2002 or 2003.

So you have no problem driving a Mercedes/Dodge but you don't want anything to do w/ a Fiat/Dodge? :jester:

That's too funny. If you want an all Dodge Truck you better be looking for a 97 down Dodge truck :D
LOl even back then most of the parts were outsourced to other countries. but then again ALL US car makers do that. EVERY car company either buys other smaller ones OR does some sort of merger with another for either mutual benefit or tech advancement etc.
As for Chrysler/MB merger it was a buyout I dont care what anyone said. They turned dodge around to a better quality than what they had IMO. then they sold it FOR A PROFIT ( if i remember correctly).
Now I used to like dodge. When i first bought my Dakota I was in love with it. I thought it was the greatest truck inthe world. But i did have a lot of problems with it. And NO i did not abuse the vehcile andit got ALL the maintenance it was required. I have Dodges for work trucks and theire ok.
maybe Fiat will help Dodge out maybe not. Time will tell. I dont think Fiat woudl of purchased Chryslerif they didnt think it woudl be a money maker

My 4 door 4WD long bed 1 ton dually DODGE gets 21 on the highway too what a qwinkydink and it weighs 9500 lbs.
yeah and i bet its a diesel so youre comparing apples to oranges.

Fiat won't be such a bad thing.

from what i've heard (not that i'm spending every free second researching this) Dodge will continue to produce the trucks and everything its just that the small car section is gonna get a complete overhaul.

keeping true is one thing, but to survive you gotta expand and make choices. i'ma huge dodge fan, my next truck... thats right, TRUCK will be a quad cab dakota. they have somewhat better MPG than the full size with the same engine and they still have the balls to do what you need done.

am i gonna sellout and leave them high and dry? no, i respect what they think is right. and the Gov't is only gonna have what.. 8% share... that can easily be dismissed by the other co owners and share holders. yea it sucks havin the gov't hovering over you with a microscope... but shit has to get done.

Better to have Fiat involved with Chrysler than to have no Chrysler at all, is my opinion. From what I understand, Fiat builds some good vehicles now. Most only think of Fiat's that were sold here back in the 1970's and they were complete mechanical, electrical, rust bucket pieces of crap. Can you say "X/19"? Anyways, it's the way it is nowdays.

no the government has 35% of GM and the same percentage as Fiat of Chrysler.
