Started tearing it apart a little early so I can take my time and clean it up a little. We made a tent to do the swap in with light and a propane heater...

Im getting away without using a cage... I guess tracks up north are more strict..He said interior would stay in but I probably wont be able to get it out in one piece. The bar that goes behind the seats would also be curved back to allow more room to lean back.

I wont be getting one any time soon. Im sure I could get away with it here but its nice to know you have a little protection. You can do it down here also during test and tunes, which wont offer you a time slip, but other than that, they will kick you out.
I went to test and tune tonight, ran my truck 10.991, got a time slip and all they told me is thats a damn fast truck... And where i went was a NHRA authorized track.. so idk maybe you right but seems like i can get away with itYou can do it down here also during test and tunes, which wont offer you a time slip, but other than that, they will kick you out.
Very good idea safety first :drive:I wont be getting one any time soon. Im sure I could get away with it here but its nice to know you have a little protection.
That's where I had the lines for my intercooler on my old setup, so I used the same spot for my nitrous fuel line, nitrous line and fuel return line, works nicely.I think I figured out how im going to do the fuel system. I will have all the lines come up the passenger side frame rail and up through the fender feeding both rails from the back with 90 degree fitting. The returns will go under the m1 to the regulator on the left/center of the block. The return line will go right beside the two feeds. I will cut a hole in the fender and line it with rubber.
You're right, the hose goes through, the hose with a fitting doesn't. At least not with what I was using.-8's fit under the m1 just fine. The returns going to the regulator are -8's and from the regulator to the tank is a -6 but ill probably just make it a -8 since the tank is a -8.
Absolutely. $900 is cheap insurance. Even for a 12 second vehicle. What if the faster car snaps an axle and T-bones you as he's coming past. All of a sudden your not so fast vehicle is sandwiched between a missle and an immoveable object. Also its amazing how much stiffer a chassis becomes with a cage. Progress is looking good, keep it up!:clap2:I wont be getting one any time soon. Im sure I could get away with it here but its nice to know you have a little protection.

Nice ET, what was the mph? Was that on the bottle? My local 1/8th mile doesn't tech street cars, so I'll be good to T&T there, but eventually I'm going to need to put in a bar.I went to test and tune tonight, ran my truck 10.991, got a time slip and all they told me is thats a damn fast truck... This y block and the fittings fit just fine under mine :huh:You're right, the hose goes through, the hose with a fitting doesn't. At least not with what I was using.
Its actually a 8 point not a 6 point and the entire cage would be in the cab.Absolutely. $900 is cheap insurance. Even for a 12 second vehicle. I can see it in your pics but can your get better pics of it?That's where I had the lines for my intercooler on my old setup, so I used the same spot for my nitrous fuel line, nitrous line and fuel return line, works nicely.nethumb:
Damn CC's! I hate that I have to go through the back window, pain in my ass. :rant:Its actually a 8 point not a 6 point and the entire cage would be in the cab.
No problem, I'll get you some better pics later tonight.I can see it in your pics but can your get better pics of it?

MPH was like 130-132, cant really remember off the top of my head.. yeah that was on the bottle 125 shot... Keeping it low spray for right now, i gotta buy other stuff for it before i go big on spray in case of an accident...Nice ET, what was the mph? Was that on the bottle? yes but it only tells me up to my 1/8 mile time bc it was a test and tune, i only have the quarter mile time from the board where my dad told me what my time was and mph..got a time slip?
