Bad, your intake is an M1 right?

Is the bolt pattern for these the same as a Victor? Are they all square bolt pattern or whatever they call it?

Now I'm looking for your older thread again. I think the next post down showed some monster looking 4BBL TB but it wasn't quite 4BBL. Looked like it was two giant rectagular blades with nothing in between.

I think it began with an M -

killin' me, I just saw that post an hour or so again but I'm having trouble finding it.
I'm using an Indy intake, but they both use the standard 4150 bolt pattern. Sounds like the one you were looking at with the two big blades is the Accel 1bbl tb, flows 1550cfm.

RealDeal,

Looks like accufab uses GM stuff per their site. So that stuff is adaptable to our Mopar systems?
i know the one i had, had the mopar stuff on it. just get the stock sensors. looked like it worked fine to me. i bought it off ebay, and was told it came off a truck, that they later turned it over to carbed. the guy that bought the truck this setup was for, didnt know much about it, only that it was on the truck, and ran like that for a little while till they swapped it out for a carb setup...guess they werent to keen on getting with the computer controls and whatever...lol

Got a bit more info.

I was looking at Summit online catalog. I didn't even realize they carried Mopar Performance stuff.

Anyway, they had three MP TBs listed, two were 4BBLs, the other one didn't have a picture or any info. In fact they had no information with them at all.

I guess there's actually only one available from MP now. I talked to the MP tech line to get some specs on it. Turns out it's 1000 CFM - what I couldn't believe is that they use GM sensors!!

The good folks at SDCE were nice enough to explain that it doesn't really matter. It's all based on 5V so aside from maybe having to rewire for the connectors etc anything should work (although I'll keep an eye out for that 1 to 3 wire swap a few people mentioned here)

ok educate me a little here.

the 4150 bolt pattern is a standard carb bolt pattern that fits any brand intake?

Assuming I'm right there in my understanding it doesnt matter if they say its a GM or toyota TB if its got that patter it will fit, just may need some fab work to make the linkage work.

Well, yes but my questions weren't about the fit, they were about the electrics.

Specifically the TPS and IAC, and to a lesser extent the MAP. If those won't work with the factory system they wouldn't be of any use.

I know zip about GM and jap stuff etc so I had no idea how their PCMs work. Like I said though, I learned a bunch just in the last day or so.

For instance I found out they all work the same, same values, same 5V, same readings, IAC works the same no matter whose computer is telling it to move GM Mopar or foreign etc.

It just surprised the hell out of me that Mopar Performance sells TBs outiftted with GM components, but if getting this thing up and running means I have to use a GM sensor then so be it :)

I'm a little confused why are you guys going through all this trouble with these 4bbl throttle bodies and then only get 1000cfm? am i missing something here? the f&b 58x2 throttle body flows 1200cfm and is a bolt on.

That was one of the TBs recommended for the intake I'm getting and I really don't want to use an adapter.

I figured 1K sounds about right but I'm going by old school though. Carbs used to only be around 650 - 750 on stockers back in the day.

I'm not worried about a whole bunch more flow that that right now. Might not be enough when it stroked but it should be OK for the time being.

By then it will probably get a whole different intake too.
