I love acronyms, whats a T/S lift?
My back end doesn't bounce.:sorry:i personally would go with the shackls first, because they are cheaper and they dont change the spring rate any......add a leafs will change the spring rate to lift it, making for a harsher than stock ride. the back end will bounce all over the place....... but, to each his own.....
No, go with the t/s lift with an AAL.what about using block?? they any good?
Then do a Spring over, thatll give ya some lift, :jester:you cant really use suspension blocks on durangos, unless you want to drop the rear end.... the spring goes under the axle, not over.....
I too am looking into lifting with the use of a shackle for the rear lift instead of blocks. So it'll be interesting to see what the lift guys say. Though I believe the way the hanger is on the 4x4 you need a shorter shackle, like a lowering shackle that you would get for a 2wd. Not completely sure though. If you need reindexed torsion keys than make sure you buy a good set.I have a 2004 Dakota 4x4 4.7L and want to do a T/S lift and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as far as how to do the rear lift , I was looking at using shackles as I would prefer the cheaper option (also to make sure I have everything I need, I know i need the torsion keys , do I also need the torsion key removal tool to the remove the bars from stock position I assume??) , but i was curious of other peoples opinions and I am assuming I would be able to do the job myself??
im new here and i was looking to get new rims for my 2000 dakota sport, i have right now the stock 15" rims and i liked the Cragar soft 8s erfoster has. i wanted to know if they got rims that will push a little farther out without getting new tires since i just bought 4 new General Grabber AT2s (255/70/15) ThanksTorsion / shackle. It refers to cranking the torsion bars up higher in front and replacing your shackles in the rear with longer shackles for a 2" lift all around.
Yes. 2wd has coils, so you need a coil spacerWhere are you guys finding torsion bars on the Durango? Is it in the 4wd models only or something?
