damn it!!!!! so its the last 3 days of college... move out day is friday by noon.. my rooamte just tells me his MOM< thats right, his MOM is going to be spending the night with him tohelp him move out on friday? my day was going good, but that fucking ruined it. seriously? any other day i wouldnt care so much, but the last fucking day of college? thats just fucking stupid!!!! damnit!. yes, i know some of u are saying "bag the mom". no, fucking stupid, i hate my rooamte now more than ever. i about killed him b/c he sai "if its any conselation ill be going over to my gf's house and getting trashed".. i was just dumb founed by his audacity to say that shit. fucking hell, wish i just nailed him in the face and got it over with then and there.. any ideas on how to tell him no. i hate to be a bitch about it, but this is college dorm, not no damn "family" dorm...

I don't think he's throwing a temper tantrum. I'm graduating this month. If I found out my roommate's mother was staying the night during the years that I lived in the dorms, I would have had a problem with it too. The dorms are one place the parents don't belong, even if its to spend just one night. I remember when my parents would visit...I think spending the night with me and my buddies is the last thing they wanted to do. My roommate lived far away so around move-in and move-out days, his parents would stay in a hotel. And to top it off, for this kid to say his mom is staying but he won't be there...umm no, that's BS.

Just plain shit. Just make the mother completely uncomfortable. If you don't like death metal, download a lot and just play it. Leave porn up on your screen. If she isn't uncomfortable and leaves, then maybe she is a neat mom. Or she may bring cookies! Cookies are tasty.

**but ill let you guys know the outcome whenever i find out whats going on.. it has now been 18 hours since the two emails... havent seen, heard or gotten a reply yet. i dont even know if he's here.. so im kinda screwed on the part of talking to him face to face unless i see him tomorrow before his mom shows up.. but ya, i plan on doing what i usually do. maybe even place signs that say ""big aprty in (room number), 9pm-??am. BYOB"" and put the signs in the places i know she will see it, that way she wont have to think twice...
Y'know, I was kidding when I said do her, etc, but seriously you should not go out of your way to make her feel comfortable at all. All my kids when they were in college kept copies of the dorm rules, and any hint of some crap like this they'd have whipped them out (or simply said, straight up, No, she's not this is a college dorm not a free hotel) I would simply meet her at the door with a copy of dorm rules in hand and inform her she was NOT staying in my dorm. Honestly even my wife agrees that no self respecting mother (or woman,for that matter) would consent, much less want, to spend the night with a bunch of guys half her age that SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW! This kid's mother is either a tramp or nuts (probably why he's running off leaving you to deal with 'Mommy dearest') This woman needs a reality check, and so does her son. So if she insists on staying, make sure you expose her to EVERY behaviour a woman her age would find offensive; Be loud, be rude,be vulgar, get stupid drunk, have sex in front of her (or with her, if she's hot and agreeable) and be as offensive as you can, so her night will be uncomfortable, instead of yours, and maybe her and her son will get the message that it IS NOT their right to inflict the mother on his roomies when HE HIMSELF WILL NOT BE THERE and what you do in your dorm is NOT her buiseness.

yea dude that whole situation is pretty dumb. I commute to college, but my sister goes to school like 3 hours away and sometimes my mom or dad will have to go down there and they always stay at a hotel. I dont think staying in her dorm would even cross their mind because its such a stupid idea.
