I have a 04 silver dakota color PSB and wanted to fix some paint chips on my pinch welds, but I was going to rattle can them and clear coat em also, But I wanted to know if auto zone sells the same color paint?

you can buy it is a aerosal can as well at any auto store & spray it where you want.

get a can of spray paint that matches your color.(theres a few shops that can mix your color & put it in a spary can ) maybe the dealer?? & then spary it with chip guard.& yes you can even buy it at wal-mart i believe.i have a few cans of it kicking around.http://www.goferauto.com/detail-chip-guard-aerosol-clear.html

nice I'll have to look into getting some of that and as the rust spots go it looks like they are minimal but i need to stop them I can sand it down lightly right? then spray them? i just dont want to see scratch marks from the sand paper also I never really sanded anything before

yes get a piece or two of red scotch brite & scuff the spots with that. clean the surface & paint. & then chip guard the whole thing

The thing about the pinch welds is the fact that they are so noticable in the first place. If you want them to seem to 'disappear', don't paint them the body matching color. Scuff them with the red Scotch Bright pad, spray them with sealer/primer and then paint them with a SATIN BLACK paint. The black color will make them seem to disappear and you'll hardly notice them at all when you look at the truck from the side. Been there, done that before I installed my side skirts. :mullet:

Just my .02!!
