I was changing the shocks, (which involved a fucking cutoff wheel because I kept spinning the shaft on the front shocks) and I stripped out the fuckin lug nut.

What do I do? Do they make a gator grip big enough to fit around it? I was thinking about taking the other five nuts off, jacking up the corner of the truck and dropping it, hopefully snapping the lugnut. Im at a total loss on this one.

what i did was get a socket just smaller then the lugnut and hammer it on. worked perfect. then if u need ur socket back head it up and hammer it out with a screw driver....make sure u use the socket with 16 teeth? i forget how many teeth it has.

Those gator things are crap!

What you need is a bolt stripped remover set. Can't rembmber what they are really called. They look like sockets, but the internal is a spiral blade. The more force you turn it counter clockwise, the more it digs into the nut to take it off.

All brands and most auto stores carry them now!

Used a chisel and hammer to remove security lug nuts before, should work in your case too.

I usually use a socket a little smaller than what the lug originally was, pound it on and zip it off. Then, whack the socket with a hammer. 12 points usually work better, but either will work.
