i was taking off my intake today to re-tourqe the bolts on my m-1 when i noticed this stuff in the pcv tube. its like greenish goey stuff. i have no clue what it is but its nasty. im going to pull of the valve cover tonight if i have time. if not im going to pull it off tommorow morning. anyone have a cluse as to what this is? it is in the pcv valve and all in the tube from the pcv to the intake.

I wanna say it's where condensation has come in contact with some oil. On my Ram it has a metal oil filler neck that isn't sealed very good and the inside of it looks similar to that.

Yep, condensation mixed with oil. Pretty normal. Any condensation actually in the engine will evaporate when it's warmed up.

ok thanks for the help. i pulled off the valve cover and everything looked fine. i am going to get a new pcv valve and clean everything up.
 
Yea emulsified oil. Have you ever seen pictures of the goop inside the 4.7 filler necks?
