im not gonna buy something that isnt going to work.but i dont see why there would be different motors for the front & rear doors..

good point.. you would think they woudl make one motor and buy in bulk tht motor to power all windows...

I dont know about our trucks.. i have manual crank... but on my beater ford.. the front and rears are different..

You can get replacement front window regulator assembly very reasonably new from 2-3 different manufacturers besides dodge. For less than $100 you should be able to do both doors with new parts that have warranties. The install will be much easier too. I ended up using a front regulator on my back door and had to completely disassemble it and put it together differently in order to get it to fit, but now I have to push up for the window to go down and down for it to go up on just that window. It was done for the sake of keeping the window up (it's fucking cold in MN in the winter!!)as it is rarely used and the rear regulators are ungodly expensive. When I find a deal I will take it out and replace it with the correct part.

the travel distance between the front and back is different- i you use the one from the back it will either make the glass crack from the way it rolls up and down or not close your window all the way
