He grenaded the hell out of his stock diff with a basically stock 4.7 and 3.92 gears with 33's. The extra power is NOT what killed it.

Petersens 4WOR blew the same diff in a done stock 05-07 Dak during one of their tests. They are not that stout, but for the average joe, perfectly sufficient.

yeah ive already had mine out and had to weld the top mount. im not sure when i broke it but i broke right off the housing. i welded it about a year ago and its been good since. i plow and 4wheeel the shit out of it and its holding up so far if i grenade it i will do an sas. where i go wheeling there is a lot of rocks and a lot of mud so its seen some pretty tough terrain. not to mention my truck weighs 5600#'s

you def. destroyed it i saw the pics. must be some of those four wheel drive launches youve been doing!!!:mullet: i should have taken pics of mine it seems though that is the week spot the top mount and then once that breaks its reallly thin down the center of the housing. its kinda pathetic they didnt make these diffs a little beefier. at least its aluminum and i happen to be a pretty damn good tig welder. i actually reinforced it a little bit. i didnt go crazy with it but like i said next will be a sas!!!
