here's my current thought... (if I buy the DAK)

- CAI (5hp)*
- Cams (30hp)*
- TB (10hp)*
- Headers (15hp)*
- Dual-Exhaust (10hp)*

that would push me up to about 310hp (crank :mullet: ) possibly 240-250 at the wheels?

[* approximately...]

or I can buy a HEMI RC Ram?

You'd be lucky to get break even and get 235rwhp because of the drivetrain losses. Things don't always add as much power as you think.
Yeah,...you're right, those numbers that people say are as if the motor was stock, not if it's already more efficient than stock.

Some of those numbers need to be divided in half, and some of those numbers should swap with different parts.

Not sure what kind of 'powerband' you are looking for, but 212 cams and a custom flash may be the best power bet for you. Skip the headers, very little gain, not worth the 5-600.

Just do some research and spend as much as you want...cause you can always spend more :)

yeah I wasn't sure on the headers yet, but I definitally want the H.O. cams being that it adds a noticeable increase in the torque and horsepower...

there's a guy that ran a 2005 Dakota (Fugly pos) on the dyno around here and got close to 215-220 at the wheels (hp) I forgot but it was around 10ish more than mine and mine was just under 205 horse at the wheels...

I also figured an exhaust (more for the sound) would give a little gain... maybe 1 or 2 horse to the wheels if that....then I've been reading about TB's and how they add a noticeable amount of power if cams and such are added...so I figure my top 3 are cams,TB,Exhaust for not and that's only looking to put me around what 270 or 280? (Crank power)
