Installing a water gauge sender on a 1993 Dodge Dakota 5.2 engine.

im installing a water gauge on a 93 dodge dakota 5.2 and where do i put the sender. Is there a spot on the intake or on the block?

I don't know if yours is different from the 5.9, but mine is up front of the intake on the passengers side.

can i just do away with one of those sensors? like the sensor by the water neck

If it's on the passenger front, it's probably the sender for the water gauge, just unbolt it and put the new one in.



I don't really have a good picture for you.

thanks. will it throw a code if its unplugged and if it does could i just ground it?

I don't think it should, I'm pretty sure it just sends the information the gauge.
